why can't I play a movie I had with 98 on my new computer with xp?

    It is a ShareReactor avi. And I downloaded the divx player and still nothing, any suggestions?

    Get Gspot and make sure you have the required codecs installed on your system.

    I installed Gspot and ran the test. It said no combination of filters could be found to render this stream. It ran on windows 98 though. I can't believe I am having such a hard time. I have tried so many things.

    Try searching for "Nimo Codec" on Google. It's a pack of almost all the codecs you'll need. Download and install. I've had no problems with it on Windows XP.

    Usually there's no image without xvid/divx and no sound without ac3
