Why do I need those iso creating programs? can i just extract the iso myself to burn a game?

why is every1 saying its manditory to have one of these programs?

 

If your asking if you can extract the ISO then burn, yes you can. Sometimes they will work, sometimes it will not.

ISO creation tools are a neccesity if you need to patch the default.xbe, then rebuild the XISO (xbox format), standard ISOs will not get it done. They also have other options, like FTP, multi-game discs, etc.

 

You can't "extract" and iso and burn it. It won't work on the xbox. It has to be a xiso, and then you burn it with Nero, DVD Decrypter, Alcohol 120, or any good burning program.

 

If it's already an iso, you don't extract anything, you just burn the iso image to disc. If it's not an iso, you [bold]do[/bold] need an xiso creator.
