I have downloaded a disc to my harddrive. When I try to open the file with DVD shrink "Fail to open file"
Not sure why. I have tried to move file to a different location with audio_ts folders and video_ts folders but all the same.
    What is the problem ??
    Can someone help....

    Thanks

you need to explain this line because, talking about downloaded movies are against forum rules. If you meant ripped to your harddrive, thats different.
    thanks

For future reference, we don't need to know where you got the file as jim_dandy already suggested :)

The file probably needs to be converted to the proper format for Shrink to recognize it. Do a forum search for "avi to vob".

Thanks for you qoute help. This is not a AVI file.
I have ripped a disc to my hard drive the vob, ifo's and bup files alreay exist.
I have had no other problems opening others files with the same format.
All have been compressed and burned with no problems.
    This is my error message..
"DVD has encountered an error and cannot continue"
"Fail to open file "C:where my files is saved\VIDEO_TS.IFO"
"The system cannot find the file specified."

    So please any othe suggestions.
    Thanks again

hi rc..........if you are using shrink to open the file........my guess is that you have ripped the file under the wrong mode.

what did you use to rip the dvd?

i had this problem after riping a dvd with decrypter only to find the wife had changed the settings.

if you use decrypter in the "file" mode then it will create a folder that shrink will open all day long
