My eyes starting hurting looking thru the forums so I just decided to ask please help thanks in advance Okay, Why does it take an hour to 1hr and a half to trascode a video and only 20 minutes or less to burn the image to the dvd? I'm using torrent sites so usually the movies are 700mb avi or mpeg Is there somthing that I can do to speed up the process?? Thats the exact amount of time it takes to transcode an AVI file of that size...around 700mb AVI file = about 2hr movie!!
Simple answer is NO, it's in AVI format and has to be converted (transcoded) to a format suitable for burning to a DVD.
I feel your pain. After converting umpteen 'Charmed' episodes from avi to dvd (*great show if your into nubile belly-buttons), I went out and bought a DIVX player. Added bonus, I can play PAL dvd's without conversion to NTSC. *not to be construed as an attack on bellies, buttons, or the marriage state.Or witches or the perverted arts.

It's actually encoding (Recode and DVDShrink transcode), and you should choose 'Custom' under Quality and set your bitrate to something a bit higher than 2537 kbps, 4000 kb/s should work.
