Why so long for dvd2avi to finish

    i am running win98se with 1ghz processer, 394mb ram. I rip the dvd and when i try to run dvd2avi, it takes a long time. I mean like 4-5 hours to finish. What am i doing wrong?

    You definately remembered to check all the settings that they're similiar to the ones we've listed on our guides -- and you're definately saving a project .d2v file, not AVI?

    If you're actually doing everything right and saving .d2v and .wav, most obvious reason is your HDD's speed that might effect to the speed, because dvd2avi really writes over 1GB of data and if your HDD is totally fragmented (the drive that has the VOBs and the drive that you're writing to) it slows down the process.

    i defrag my hdd. And as for the speed of the HDD, the computer is new so i don't know what could be the prob. All settings are correct
