I have been burning DVD's with shrink & nero, I burn JUST the Main movie and when its starts the subtitles are on, I can turn them off, but I was wondering why the movie starts with them on? and the origanl does NOT have them on when it starts any ideas??

    Thanks,
    B

I've run into DVD players that do weird things like that when the structure of the DVD is altered in any way.

Have you tried the disc in another player?

Not really sure why. I have the same problem. On my cheap DVD players ( Apex, Mintek ) subtitles always start on, but with my Toshiba they don't.

In Shrink there is a setting to remap logical streams (or something to that effect), I think that playing around with that *might* fix your problems. I've encountered the same thing and thought about it, but never tried correcting it, as I only use my computer to watch them in general and it doesn't do it to me.
