    Hi

I've looked on the forum and can't find anything that is the same as this issue.

I got a wii in 2008 and had a mod chip installed. I can't remember the type but think it was a wiikey.

I've not used it for a few years but thought I would get it up and running.
Here is the strange bit, it plays originals, it plays the copy's I did a few years ago, Lego Indiana Jones etc and the wii picks them up fine and they load with no problems.

I've downloaded some new games and when I burn them to disk it doesn't pick them up.
I've tried DVD plus and DVD minus, various ISO files, different DVD burners and even tried on burning them on my laptop. But what ever way I do it they will not be picked up by the wii.

I tried vertabim disks, oem disk, and cheap disks and they don't work.
I've not updated my wii firmware as I know it can mess the mod chip up, my current firmware is 4.3e

I don't k ow why old backups work and new backups won't.
Anyone have an idea what's up.

    Cheers
    Dave

you need a mod, and you don't need a chip installed this time, you can softmod, you will need an sd card 2 gig would be fine, to transfer files from pc to wii. google modmii and install it, run it, it will ask some questions about your wii and then generate a guide for you and also download relevant files for you to softmod

Think that's the way to go. It was bugging me booting some games and not others with the mod chip though

Just installing it now but when I try to install priiloader, it's asks me to press A/+ but my controller won't connect to the Wii ant this point and drops off. If I restart the Wii it's connected as normal but then looses its connection again at priiloader install.

I have tried to resnyc it at the point it looses its connection but that won't work.

    Anyone know why

    Cheers
