Ok I got a question. I read the release, but how do I find out what these applications do? I usually just mod a system to play backup games, but I got more into apps with the PS2. Here is the release info, can someone tell me where to find info on the apps that I have bolded:

    Taken from http://www.wiikey.cn/

Version 1.2 of the setup disc is now available for download. It combines
various applications into a single bootable disc. This release includes:

    - wiikey configuration
    - wiikey dvdDump (dumps discs to sdcard)
    - some of the most popular gamecube homebrew apps:

    - SDLoad 1.0 by Costis
    - Snes9x 1.43 GX 0.5 Port by Softdev
    - GCOs MultiGame Version by emu_kidid
    - MFE Distro 1.0 by Isobel

Check in the folder for each of the apps. Each should contain a readme.

Once I download the boot disc, do I burn it as an image or just data?
also, do I use a dvd to burn it or just a cd?

    Thanks!!

If the file came as a image file (ex. .iso, .bin/.cue, .mdf/.mds, etc) then burn it as a image file. And if it is 699mb or below I would burn it to a CD anything higher and I would have to say a DVD.

READ THE README FILE!! That's what it is there for. The rar you download has a file in it called BootabaleDisc_US.bat (or JAP or PAL). Once you place any extra files you want on your bootdisc in the appropriate folders (again, read the readme) then you just launch that bat file and it creates an image file (.iso) for you to burn.

Ok, for those of you too lazy for the readme...

    WiiKey Configuration: Same as always.
WiiKey dvdDump: Backup any Wii or GC disk onto an SD card. NOTE: It doesn't use the build in SD slot, you need an SD adapter which goes into a gamecube slot.

SDLoad: Plays gamecube homebrew. (Play's .dol files)
Snes9x: Plays Snes roms. NOTE: I believe you need that SD card w/ adapter to save your game.
GCOs: I believe that you can put multiple GC roms on one disk and play them all. Saves a lot of DVDs for sure. (3-4 GC roms on one disk I believe)
MFE Distro 1.0: Play MOVIES and AUDIO with your Wii! I know a lot of people wanted this, so this is something to look forward to. (I don't know the compatible formats, though. If xvid works... the HOLY S*** IM BURNING A DISK WITH A COULPLE HOURS OF ANIME ON IT NOW. ^_^)

The WiiKey team also announced a firmware update to come which will, get this, fix the audio fix bug, as well as do some other things!

Hopefully this will clear some things up.

I appologize about being a pain regarding this bootdisk, but.....

    1) what exactly is the bootdisk's function?
    2) does it "enable" the modchip?
    3) When I unzip the .rar file for the bootdisk, another zip file is in that one. Do I keep unzipping ALL of the sub-folders THEN burn?
And as for the readme file, I don't seem to see one

Sorry guys, but I am getting so frustrated with this, and Im sure alot of others are in the same boat

    Any advice would be greatful!!!!

    Thanks

How big is the setup disk iso supposed to be? When I run the the .bat file to make the US region iso, it only makes a 7MB file, it seems to me it should be making a 4.6 GB file, because it puts the 7MB of info on the disk, and then file chop puts in the filler, so that it looks like a 4.6 GB file to the wii, am I correct, what am I doing wrong that I am getting an error with the batch file when filechop runs? Please help.
