Getting ready to install the wiikey, still have to practice soldering before I attempt it. I cannot find anyone local to solder for me.
    I have:
    1. Wiikey
    2. Wires that came with wiikey
    3. .015 diameter Silver bearing solder
    4. 15-watt soldering iron. grounded
    5. Sponge

I cannot find any soldering flux locally, I was told at Radio Shack that I should be good without it, what do you think??

Thanx in advance and any other tips for the job will be appreciated.

I heard that the soldering flux helps the solder keep in contact with the points. I used it in my installation and everything went perfectly.

For you to use it is your choice though...

And if you have any sandpaper or a nail filer then that would be good. Use these to sharpen the tip of your soldering iron.

If you have any questions just ask away.

Flux will help the solder flow better and prevent cold solder joints. Don't leave the iron on the solder points too long or you'll make the traces lift. Take your time and you should be okay. When your done, you should clean up the area with some alcohol.
