will using a lower audio bitrate make the svcd file smaller

    i usually use 224k, but will like 192k or 160k make the final size smaller and will it still sound good?

    It will make it smaller, but only a fraction smaller. Let's say you have currently 40 minutes of video per each CD. 40 minutes in 224k audio is 65.6MB and if you downgrade that to 160k audio will take 46.9MB. You save less than 20MB and dropping audio quality from 224 to 160k is really a significant drop hat you'll actually hear.
