heres what happend. a friend of mine was working with a spread sheet file she had already saved but there wasnt enough space on the disk to allow a save. so she exited but now she cant find the file. she didnt delete the file. from dos is there a way i can search for that file? or even from within windows?
Easiest way in DOS would be to go to your root directory and type dir filename.ext /s , obvioulsy put your filename in there and it will search all subdirectories for you and show you where it is, otherwise use filemanager in Windows and use the search function. Hope it helps and good luck,
