    WINAVI 7.7 CRASH PROBLEM

Winavi 7.7 version causes to all ppl who use it many problems such as crashes to different issues. I have looked on plenty forums to solve my crashing problem. I had application crashes when i tried to convert .avi
files with subtitles. I have noticed that i couldn't run a movie (avi) when the subtitle file was in the same folder (ex. movie.avi - movie.srt). Finally i checked the official support link (http://www.winavi.com/en/support.htm) and i solved my problem. Since this may not be the solution to all i suggest you check all the FAQ section and see which suits better for you.

    http://www.winavi.com/en/support/support_video_converter.htm

My problem was solved by installing
    1. "boligego". The main link is broken or closed so you can dl it from here: http://www.divx-digest.com/software/boli_codec_manager.html
    2. Klcodec 227f pack
    dl it from here: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm
Note: those progs may ask you to unistall some other programs such as Xvid. Indeed i removed them but i have installed them again in the end to have the newest versions on my OS. Also i had installed the latest directX to avoid any case of unwanted(extra) problems.
I hope this will help all the rest of you who still haven't solved this crashing problem yet. Gl :)
