    Hi there guys,

    Basically, I've got a Movie in XviD format
    I use WinAVI which creates a .Vob so I can put it on DVD. The problem:

    When I open the .Vob to test it the "Volume" is High at the Start but the Volume Keeps Reducing Everytime a Loud "Sound" in the Movie Comes Along Then Gradually Rises again Until the Next Loud Sound in the Movie.

    I have AC3 Filter in my "Control Panel", could it be Something to do with those Settings?
    I raised the Gain to Maximum in the Settings there.

    My Settings for WinAVI are:

    Output Format: DVD
    "Advanced":
    Fixed Output Quality: Highest
    Split Output File(s): De-Selected

    AC3 Filter Has A LOT Of Options, I think maybe the problem could be rectified there?

    Help please, thanks

    I guess it is the sound in the xvid file that causes this problem. Have you tried to split the xvid into 2 files (video and audio, and use uncompressed audio instead)? This usually solves most audio problem when converting for me. Try VirtualDub to uncompress and take out the sound from the avi file.

    Try it out and see if it helps!
