Wasn't sure whether to post this here or in the software section but here goes.

I plan to purchase either a laptop or notebook which will have Windows 10 installed, I think it will be 64bit, but I am wanting to find out which version of Nero to use or be compatible with it. I currently use Nero Express 6 version 6.3.1.20 and I have a feeling that this won't be compatible with Windows 10.

I have no problem purchasing the latest Nero software so I am looking for some help before I do.

The desktop or laptop will definitely be 64bit as most are all coming with a 64bit cpu.
As for Nero, you will need to buy either Nero 2015 or Nero 2016.

4gigs plus of ram says 64bit windows. don't think they have made 32bit cpu's in years or at least since vista came out.

Basically burning flac as audio CD and copying discs.

I have a version of burrrn which is great for cue files track separation, I wonder if it'll install on Windows 10 64bit.?

On desktop it's 98se, on laptop it's windows 7 starter, however the laptop doesn't have a CD rom drive.

I'm looking to buy a more up-to-date laptop or Notebook that does have a CD writable drive.

might have a problem getting a laptop with a dvd drive internally as they are starting to phase them out. 3 customers with win 7 & 8 have laptops without dvd drives.

Most of the laptops I've seen in the computer outlets all appear to have CD/DVD writable internal rom drives.

I always think that you get reliable burns when performed on a desktop computer.

Looks like you haven't read all my posts on this thread, if you had you will have seen that I had said that windows 7 is on the laptop, which in turn doesn't have a rom drive.

He said if Nero works on windows 7, why would I be using Nero Express on windows 7 as it's on the laptop that has no CD or DVD/RW drive.
