I recently tried to change the picture of my windows 7 boot screen causing the system to restart infinitely after I rebooted. I now have the windows 7 hard drive in my vista pc so I can access the files on it to fix them. But, I don't know which files to fix, and how to do so. I used a program to patch the files initially so I never had to deal wit them directly. Any Ideas?

Press F8 at startup and go into safe mode if you can and do a system restore to a date before the problem a week or so.

If no go use the windows 7 repair disc to do a system restore. If you don't have one download from below it is a torrent file tho so you will need bittorrent client.

Choose the one which applies to your version of windows.
