Windows explorer crashes when starting Avi or just pointing the cursor over the Avi files and sometimes even opening the folder containing files (different movie) results in crashing of the explorer. Some video files (video clips which i cut from some movies) also makes the windows very slow. I have tried to repair them by All Media Fixer but the problem remains the same. Please help!!!

If you are running XP, disable MS's buggy thumbnail shell extension. Should sort out the problem.

hi, i solved this problem by using ShellExView v1.10 - Shell Extensions Manager and disabling video thumbnail extractor. Thanks for the help celtic_d.
