I've just got a new pc with vista ultimate. When I try to log into wlm the little people spin round for ages saying "signing in". eventually an error message with the code 81000306 comes up it basicaly tells me to check im connected to the internet. it also say stuff about it possible being the firewall, I have checked and it is not being blocked by zonealarm or anything like that. after folowing all their instructions and instructions on the internet for the error code i still cant log in. Has anyone else had this problem or does someone know how to fix it? Please help!!!! I really want my new comp too be perfect and this is the only problem and I've spent all day looking for an answer!
    Thanks in advance.

I am having this current problem with all the computers on my home network. If anyone has a idea on how this can be resolved. I will be greatful.

    I have tried the following

    Try this:
    - Click start
    - Type: cmd
    - Right-click cmd.exe when it appears under Applications
    - Click Run As Administrator
    - Type the following: netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
    - Press enter
    - Restart your computer

To check autotuning is disabled repeat the above but type: netsh int tcp
    show global

This worked for me when all other fixes and work-arounds did not.
