I just built a HTPC for my brother and am using WMC. I put all the movies I have from my modded xbox onto this computer. The problem is that I can't get the .avi's to play from the media center menu, from My Videos. However, the videos play fine from the desktop via WMP. I used All-in-one codec bundle.
    Any insight on this??

Shot in the dark.. Are the codecs linked in the WMC codecs filder/file/whatever it uses as well as from WMP? All I can think of apart from DRM issues

How do I link the codec to WMC? I assumed that the install would take care of this.

    Thanks for the response.

BTW, when I go to view the video files, the thumb nails show a preview of the open shot of the clip. Do this mean that this is a codec issue?

I am afraid I am going to have to resort to Microsoft support...:(
