Recently, when I playback my mpeg-2 videos (taken by DVD camcorder), Windows media player just playbacks 13 sexonds of the file and then stops!! But when I use PowerDVD software, there is no such a problem...
    What could be the reason?

PowerDVD will always use its own MPEG parser and MPEG2 decoder. WMP will use whatever filters have the highest merit and I guess whatever filters it is using aren't working properly, at least for the files you are trying to play. More likely the parser/splitter is to blame.
