windows media player/does not detect cd burner

    when trying to burn a cd. getting message no cd or dvd burner detected. ifollowed instructions /mycomputer/right click on icon/click properties/ but there is no enable tag/ troubleshooter says device is working correctely. real player will burn no problem but all my music is in wma. ( i need a cigerette)

    I would try updating to the latest version of Windows Media Player and see if that doesn't solve the problem.

    i have upgraded to windows media 11 but still no joy . i also downloaded a programme called easyburn which worked ok for 1 wks trial but would still prefer to do my burning thruogh media player. has anybody any suggestions for a good programme that i can download to burn, rip, sync etc thanks for taking the time to reply
