i encoded my mpegs using tmpgenc succesfully. when using adaptec version 5 to burn these mpegs (videos) i was told these are whitebook standard. so all is fine so far. i manged to record/ the mpegs fine also. but out of the 18 videos/mpegs that i've burned only 5 of them play. i was able to play all of the mpegs perfectly while they were stored on my hard drive, but when i try to play them back from my cd i get the message "no combination of filters could be found to render the stream. Error 80040218" but if i was able to play these mpegs while they were stored on my hard drive, why can't i play them from my cd?

could somebody please tell me how to solve this problem? do i need a codec?

    thanks
