    Hi,

It sounds like you don't have the correct codecs to play your media formats.

If you're not sure what a codec is:

    http://www.afterdawn.com/glossary/terms/codec.cfm

Visit this site for a good and up to date codec packs:

    http://codecguide.com/

There are several to choose from, I suggest you read what you need. If you install different codec packs, you may cause instability for your comp and combatibility issues would likely cause crashes.

Here's a list of media players that are versatile and user friendly:

    VLC (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/VideoLAN.htm)
    Zoom Player (http://inmatrix.com/)
    Media Player (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Media_Player_Classic.htm)
