windows update

    there used to be a "download basket" available with windows update, where you could select the updates you wanted, and download them as EXE files, instead of installing throught the windows update page. is this still available in the "v5.windowsupdate"

    I don't think so. Its pretty much all automatic now. The only control you have is selecting what you want to install. You may be able to store the downloaded cache file in temp folder when it downloads maybe? just a thought...

    Ive been there before, but i remember there being a site within windows update, where you could pick every update for any operating system you wanted.

    yes know what you are talking about but don't remember it in the actual windows update section but in a section in that link i posted
