windows vista wont boot it boots a comand line

    hi all

    i have windows vista and it wont boot it boots into somting called command line or somthing. so i am at the command line and i put boot and it says you must load KERNAL frist i need HELP i dont no what i am doing. i tryed the F8 command before it booted into the command line but it dose not work. if you can help please help me.

    Did you use a pirate copy of Vista?

    no it on a brand new laptop

    Then bring it back and have it replaced by a working laptop/copy of Vista *though if i was where you, i'd tell them to shove Vista where the sun don't shhine and get XP instead*
