    Hi everyone.

My Windows XP Home Edition PC has suddenly decided that it doesn't want to go into standby mode anymore, even though all it's drivers appear to be working correctly. When I log off my account and try & put the machine in Standby, the fan carries on working & if I move the Mouse, I am immediately taken back to the log on screen, instead of my PC shutting down.

This has got me scratching my head, because it worked fine untill yesterday evening & Hibernation mode is still fully functioning.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Matt.

check everything in your device manger in hardware setting making sure everything is running, might check for an windows update or try a system restore.
