A while back I disabled the start up scan on Windows XP Professional. Can someone tell me how to enable it, to scan the computer for problems at start up again?

as above, it is usualy one of those keys or delete key. You should get a very quick message at the bottom of the screen when you boot up. It will tell you press "blank" for the boot menu and "blank" for the other (i say other as some systems may call it a different name like startup, settings, BIOS or so on)

But there should only be 2 of them and it is not the boot menu.
