I recently purchased a Plextor Convertx PX-M402U. I am pleased with the way the device captures video to my hard drive but I'm concerned about the WinDVD Creator 2 software in the "Sharing" (burning) mode. When I begin the procedure to burn to DVD, the CPU usage is 100%. Is all video editing and burning software like this? Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Yes that's the case, compressing, transcoding, or encoding video is quite CPU intensive.
