In WinDVR 3 I can't hear any sound from the TV source.
However, strangely, when I record, the recording does have sound. Does anyone know how I can get sound in the actual program though?

Have you set the audio source to "line in"?
What capture card, how is audio physically hooked up?

I've got a Pinnacle PCTV Rave TV card.
In setup, the audio input settings are grayed out (though they only say device: pinnacle pctv stereo bda analog and source:aux).
I tried using another TV viewer, Dscaler, and that didn't have any problem with sound (I'd just rather use WinDVR, as you can record in it).

You can record in dscaler too.
In windvr, select source, change it from aux to line in, or try bda analog.
I'm not familiar with that card, sorry.
Try using VirtualVCR, Virtualdub, or Stoik video capture, they're all free.
