One of my coworkers is setting up a wireless network w/ a cable modem and an Airlink wireless router and an Airlink wireless PCI card. He said when he first installed it, he connected to the internet, but when he closed everything and tried to connect, nothing would pull up. He then started from scratch, but the same problem occurred where he could connect at first, but couldn't obtain a consistent connection. Any advice or help would be appreciated.

There could be a number of things wrong.

    - RF interference
    - Bad router or network card
    - Router not locked down (therefore somebody messing with you.)
    - computer out of range of router.

I understand if there was no connection at all, but the fact that it connected for him once both times he reinstalled and it stopped working after the first connections seems strange.
