I have a video clip that is in the Windows Media format that i wish to copy to a DVD-R disc so that i can view it on a DVD player but i have no idea how to rename it into a format that Nero will recognize?

Your not going to rename it go to vcdhelp.com. Your going to have to convert it.

    Hi there,

VSO DivxToDVD is suppose to support .WMV files.
It will convert it directly to DVD Files.

    http://www.vso-software.fr/download.htm

Then burn with nero as VIDEO-DVD.
    (AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS)

Shouldn't need to convert anything, Nero does support .wmv files, just imoprt the .wmv the same as you would any other movie file that you wish to write to dvd
