I am trying to convert a WMV to a DVD, I have downloaded and used the AVI Video tools but it puts a banner in the middle of every frame, I do not want to buy a program for just one file convert, does anybody know of a FREE program I can do this with?

One more Question Attar, The program has created the .VOB file but DVD Decrypter is looking for an .MDS file to burn the DVD?
How do I write to the DVD disc from a VOB file?

    Not directly, I use Nero.
    Here's another way.
Run the .wmv file through this program.

    http://dl.afterdawn.com/vsoDivxToDVD_setup_v0.5.2b.exe

Outputs standard DVD file format to a folder on the HDD.
Set 'Aspect' to 4:3 (if you have a regular tv)
Set 'Standard' to NTSC (if you live in North America)

burn with freeware, DVD Shrink + DVD Decrypter.

    DVD Shrink
    http://www.mrbass.org/dvdshrink/
    Download, install and run.
'Open Files' choose the folder with the DVD files.
    Click 'Backup!'
'Target Device' / 'Select backup target' > 'ISO image file and burn with DVD Decrypter'

The output from the Super program does not have all the files that DVD Shrink needs to encode the disk.
The Divx program creates the whole folder and DVD Shrink can import the folder, then click 'Backup' and it will offer to burn it with DVD Decrypter.

BTW with Super, for Nero to make a compliant disk you have to select 720x480 4:3 for NTSC compliance.

Hello Attar, I followed your instructions to the letter but although the .WMV file plays perfectly on Windows Media Player, DivXToDVD keeps giving me the error message "Decoding Error, there will be no output file"

Convert it to AVI with Super and try again with Divx?
