    Hi All,
I've read through the forum loads looking to try and find the best way to backup a DVD with all its special features and keep all the menus working, so far i haven't found any fool proof way, can anyone help me out with this?
I've tried using Nero and DVD Shrink as suggested but this only seems to write about half the film and only the play menu opion actually works, any help would be great, also i'm using Philips DVD+R's which itself might be the problem so i've got some DVD-R's on order,
    Cheers All

I use dvd x copy platinum and have never had any problems with it. there seems to be some debate as a lot of people have said they have bother with it. My friend uses it too and he's never had any bother with it too. you get full working menus and all the special features etc.
alternatively rip and burn with dvd shrink that works really well also.
if you need to you can rip the disc with decrypter shrink with dvd2one and burn with nero.
I've used ALL of these methods and have never had any problems with regard to getting a fully working backup with all the menu's etc.
hope one of these methods work for you.
dvd shrink is free so download that and try making a copy with it. you should get a perfect result. there is a good guide on this site too.
good luck. let us know how you get on.

    sorry didn't read that correctly,
I see you've used shrink already.
try decrypter, then compress and burn with shrink.

Are you doing full disc or are you reauthoring with Shrink?
