would the xbox 360 wire work on the first xbox?

    What wire? The network cable? Power cable? Controller cable?

    The video connection cable has a different shape, the 360 connection is slightly bigger and longer. So, no the 360 cable (and visa versa) won't plug into the regular XBox.
