im using divx player 2.1
and i have the xvid-04102002-1 codec installed but still cant watch it??
Wow, I havent heard of a .vite before...
Are you sure it doesnt end in avi or mpeg?
it does end with.avi
Dont worry too much about the vite... but since the movie was encoded using XviD, you obviously wont be able to play it with DivX player. Now assuming you have the required XviD codec, just open her up with Windows Media Player or any other major media player. If you get a green/purple screen then that would be a good indicator to get yourself the FDDSHOW filter,
If you have other movies that wont play then your problem is most likely the lack of a proper codec. Two programs thatll help you determine which codecs you may need for your movies are:
Gspot - http://www.headbands.com/gspot/
AVICodec - http://www.divx-digest.com/software/avicodec.html__X_X_X_X_X_[small]Life is but a dream...so wake me up already!!![/small]
