x-bit dead

    just tried to install 1.5 xbit I flashed it installed it it just cycled throught the lights green, power off,green power off, then flashing red. i tried to reflash but cant. My pc doesnt recognize that its pluged in to the usb. I'v tried a couple pc's but no luck. Is my chip fried? Im getting power to the chip.

    I forgot to mention, this x-bit came preflashed.The seal was broken and the dip switches were set. I dident think much about it before but maybe I got ripped off.

    first try unplugging all usb connections before you plug in the xbit usb.
    make sure you know what bank youre flashing to. and that the dip switches are right.
    make sure the flash program is for your chip (1.5) and your computers OS.
    I suggest going to the xbox-scene forums and looking in the DMS Xbit forum. There are some good diagrams and advice there.
