xbox 360 drives

    i have 3 360's that are not working is it possible to take the drive out of one and put it in another if it's not the same make of drive; and how do i tell which make of drive is which?

    It depends... If they are the same make, then yes but you'll need the cpu key from the 360 that you wish to use it with. Without the CPU key, the 360 won't read games, but will play movies. Replacing a drive with a different make is called spoofing, and is apparently detectable by M$. To tell what kind of drive you have, pull the face plate off of the front of the 360. There will be a little oval hole on the DVD-ROM. If there isn't any color wires, it's a hitachi. If it has red and black wires, it's a samsung. If it has white wires, it's a benq. If it has yellow wires, it's a lite-on. Good Luck.
