    hi
i am a uni student on a very tight budget and limited knowledge when it comes to computer.
my only acess to resonable quality hd gaming seems to be via the vga cable that lets you connect the 360 to a computer monitor.
so the other day i managed to get a cheap 17inch "RM 700p" crt monitor (manufactured dec 2000) of the internet.
but unfortunately the monitor doesnt seem to have an input for the xbox vga cable to plug in. What it does have seems to be a single cable with a vga "male" connector.
now the monitor seems to work fine if i connect it to the female connector found on my inspiron laptop.

so would a 15 pin vga svga female gender changer allow the monitor to accept the video signal from the 360 vga cable?
    thanks for your feedback.
