I have a modded xbox with a 320gb drive. My games only take up about half of this space. Is it wise to use the other half of this space to backup files from my computer? (such as my mp3 collection, pictures, and even word docs) I would even like to try ghost4linux and see if that works. Is there a higher risk of the drive inside the xbox failing? Lastly, does the drive inside the xbox need to be defragmented

I don't think it has to be defragmentated, but you can do it if you wish. I would go ahead and load that hard drive to your heart's desire, but if i were you, I'd leave at least a gigabyte for gamesaves, maps, mods, etc...
    ...thats just my idea.
