Xbox dirty or damaged disc

    Does anyone with a new Xbox get a dirty or damaged disc error? We have had the xbox since it first came out , so I am wondering if it is just the first Xbox's have this problem?

    you probably have a weak laser,the drive is more than likely a thompson.they all have that problem after use.the only real fix is to remove the drive and replace laser assembly or replace drive with a new drive.

    sounds to me like you may need to clean the disc drive. try that first (alot cheaper) =]

    Sometimes it's not the drive, but the game itself. Some games have loading problems.
