My XBox DVD drive is broken now. I have the first one, Thompson I think. Is their anything I can do to backup games? I bought Madden 08, and tried to play it but it does not work. So I downloaded it, thinking I can FTP it into the XBox without a DVD drive. Is this possible?

Yes, you can ftp without using the dvd drive but the game would need to be on your computer first in order before you can do this. If your drive cannot read games you can try to do some pot twealking or replace the laser.

Mine aint broken yet but i already bought replacement parts.

How do you FTP the game? I already have it on my computer, but I don't know how to do it.

BTW I've already tried cleaning the drive, but still no luck. So I'm just trying to save money on not having to buy another drive.

Cleaning the drive will almost never fix the underlying issue! My tutorials will show you how to FTP and also how to revive your Thomson using the Pot Tweak method! It's quite easy!
