    what exaclty is the xbox kernel and what can i use to patch and change it to run unsighned code and change boot and color of led.

    The retail MS Kernel is the bios that came on your xbox.
    In order to play unsigned code you need a hacked MS bios.
    You can then flash the bios to a modchip and bypass the Retail Kernel.You can change the boot order and color of the LED by opening your hacked bios with a bios tool.

    ok i got how to change boot order and led colors but how do i run unsighned code i heard of ude or something like that how do i patch that or what?

    also i dont have a modchip so were do i get the kernel and how do i put it back?

    like bohefus said you have to have a hacked bios to play unsigned code.with out having a chip there is something called a soft mod that you could do, where you save this hacked bios to the xboxs tsop. i suggest reading up more

    you dont need to touch the bios my xbox is already modded 1.6 no chip i just want to know how to change the boot order see mine boots to evox when the dvd drive is closed but when it is open it boots to avalanch with different led color i want to know how to change that and how to put ude or ude 2 on.
