    Hey,

I decided to try and hook up my Xbox 360 to a computer monitor that doesn't have speakers. I got the HDMI cable and hooked everything up, and everything works just fine except that I have no sound. This monitor has open VGA and DVI ports. If I got "turtle beach" headphones, would that solve the problem?

DVI doesn't support audio only video.

However the 360 outputs audio at the same time to both hdmi & the original grey plug thing that would sit above hdmi port.

There is a grey adapter plug you can get which is thinner so hdmi cable can fit below it,you could then use a stereo or a set of speakers & connect them to the two rca ports on it or this turtle beach thing you speak of may work if the two rca ports on the grey adapter had an adapter attached that converted rca to head phone jack so you get stereo
