xp home licensing

    im building 3 computers for a business. im installing xp home on them and was wondering if i can buy one copy and install it on all 3 machines?

    Nope. You will need three licenses. Newegg.com has a deal for under $300 for three XP Home OEM Program disks.

    i thought that the limit to computers was three computers? thats what mine says on it

    Windows XP is one license per PC but can be purchased in multiple packs.

    Some "Office XP" applications can be installed in up to three PC’s per one license, but that depends on Student, Teacher or just the regular versions.

    that what i thought too, 1 per computer for windows & for other applications than depends on type of licence bought

    Correct, You MUST BUY a License for each PC. It's the ONLY way you can do it.
