Please explain whether it is possible to network boot a computer simply using a cat 5 crossover cable between two. I cannot afford an os on one of the two, but I can network boot off of another computer, hopefully.
i dont think you can do that. so if you are low on money try out linux. its free and doesnt get viruses.
Ubuntu is a good starter linux software. It is very user friendly as well as you can find many forums online on wikipedia that will teach you how to do many things with your linux machines.
