ok, i'll keep it short. When I play xvid movies the audio is allways very low. The music is high but the voices are always very low and not very clear. This is the same for all xvid movies I have. I am using fddshow, ac3 filter, and xvid codec. I have spent about 6 hours trying to fix this and have tryed every codec out there.. always the same thing. any ideas to fix this?

First of all XViD has nothing to do with Audio, it only does video. Now chances are most of the movies you are getting are encoded with AC3 sound. The drawback is that most users who have 2 speakers will find the sound too low. Anyhow make sure you install the latest AC3 filter. Then mess around with the speaker settings. You can find the config in the control panel, look for AC3 filter. Also if you have a creative sound card, make sure its set to play with the correct sound setup for the number of speakers you have.
