I have a movie that is in xvid format. I want to put it on DVD so I can play it on the DVD player. I looked at the definition but I still don't understand. Help!
There's all sorts of guides for different software used in taking a DivX/XviD file to DVD , use the search feature or guides url is my signature alternatively.
Wow, do I feel dumb. I couldn't make the xvid programs work because it was a rar archive. Once I saw the rar file down at the bottom of the list of 50 or so files, I realized my problem. I've since downloaded winrar and extracted the .avi file. Yes, I used the guide to do it and it worked perfectly the first time. Thanks for putting us with us newbies that sometimes can't see the forest for all those pesky trees.
Yes, I see to have mastered the rar format but quite honestly it sometimes seems like there are as many file types as there are movies... I wouldn't have gotten anywhere without the guides. Thanks! ;-)
