Someone else on this board had the same problem. i cannot get my xvid videos to play correctly, they always appear in green! I think the nimo codec pack is to blame. How can i fix this? Thanks so much for any input. (i have the xvid codec installed)
uninstall the nimo codec pack and xvid codec and download the latest version of xvid (get it from kazaa) i hear people all the time having problems with the nimo codec pack (never had any problems myself) and that should help ya
i have the same problem with Nimo build 8 uninstalling that and installing build 5 sorts the problem for some reason, but then other movies wont play/ or cant get sound am pretty sure i have a problem with my xvid.dll or xvid.ax(can't remember), as this shows up as an error when installing build 8, god knows why cos i dont! i probably need to reinstall windows i reckon i just LOVE codecs(sarcastic)even though they are useful for reducing file size T
ok uninstall all the nimo codecs and just install this codecs pack http://sx.edskes.com/klcodec16.exe
another option is to use AviC to change the FourCC code. I use nimo 8 en when i change the FourCC to divx it works fine. now i got factory class probs after installing directx 9. crystal player can be used, plays a lot of movies.
Go to C:\Windows\System32\ And rename or remove "ffdshow.ax". That should do the trick. GreetZ TWiLiGHT
