You can use a program called Codeseek to easily find the y-fix codes. You can download it here:

    www.codemasters-project.net/portal-english/apportal/inc/upload/PS2-Tools/codeseek.rar

When you search the elf file, insert your game in your dvd or cd drive and choose the file named SCES_XXX.XX. This is the elf file. The X's will be numbers that identify the game.

    1)Run codeseek
    2)Check the boxes marked Y-Fix 1 and Y-Fix 2.
    3)Click Search ELF
4)Locate the elf file and click open

The program will give you the y-fix codes for the game in raw format which codebreaker and gameshark accept. If you have action replay or action replay max, you will have to convert the code so the action replay/action replay max will accept it.

Where it says Potential Code, the two-lined code below it, is the Y-Fix code for that game.

Y-fix will allow the screen to be moved up. You might also want to try X-Fix to move the screen to the left.

i got 4 lines of codes in the end, plugged them into my gameshark v4.1 and something went wrong. it seemed like there were 20 rows of the top part of the screen divided evenly down my TV. Are the codes RAW? do i need to convert them into GS v4.1 codes?

Is this for Second Sight PAL?

If so The resulting code is:

    Y-Fix (type 2)
    003F8EA4 00000010
    003F8F58 00000010

There is no result for Y-Fix type 1. If the type 2 code doesn't work for you, try creating an XY-Fix code. That might work if the 2 types of y-fix codes don't.

You will need ps2dis to find out the code.

    You can download it here:

    Just a question again..lol

I know its a stupide one..anyway..i guess for pal games we need to use a pal cheating devices, bcus the us version doesnt accept pal codes (and vice versa) unless if its in raw mode..or is there a way to enter us codes into a pal gs2 and vice versa?

not interested in ghost master at all, lol. WAITING FOR BURNOUT3!

Alright, back to the topic. I've got everything centered, good color but laggy movie (PAL to NTSC problem i guess, audio in those cutscenes are laggy too).

My next question is, when I play the game, although it's centered, the very top and the very bottom is chopped off. I think this is my TV's problem, I played the game XG extreme racing (something like that) and the top and bottom are off as well. IF this IS my TV's problem, is there a way to simply put a few lines of GS codes to solve it? I say 5% is cut off on both end, and this IS pretty annoying in Second SIght!! MY HEALTH BAR IS BEING CUT OFF!!! lol.. hope you guys can help me

they are not cut off... lol.. they are simple off screen.. when doing pal2ntsc on full screen games this creates this problem... the pal2ntsc was made to work on games that has black bars... aka final fantasy x/x-2 pal.... alot of games use this stupid annoying thing... so when using the pal2ntsc code this streches the picture... now when using a full screen game with the code its simple strech to much since 60hz mode has streched screen... so what you got is full screen game on 60hz mode... in other words you got what you wanted lol try adding 3 to the raw code and converting...

yo............. is it gonna be the same if i change a TV? damn it. Now gonna do everything all over again.

What do you mean by adding a 3 to the raw code. And which raw code(s) are you talking about?

btw, second sight is real cool. finally something is somewhat original. But it will suck when people start to attack me while i can't any my health bar. Man, i might need the invincible code now! lol

Cyprien, changing the last number to 3 is going to change:

    24D030A8 5034451B to
    245030A8 5034451B

right? If i did that correctly, then it didn't work. The game started like it was PAL, B/W and Flickering.

Is there a way to shrink the Y? or make the X wider to fix the TV? do you guys have this top/bottom off-screen problem as well?

form what i know youcant really "shrink" it... but you welcome to try... change the numbers lol but i hardly think it will change anything since the main problem is in the pal2ntsc code... i should explain this...

alot of developers do this thing called 50hz full screen... and some make black bars 50hz mode... the code of pal2ntsc is made for games that have the black bars... since the original game was already using the 60 but forced into 50hz mode with bars... so changing the codes makes the screen strech... this create some side effects as the exsample you see in second sight.. with the screen going off screen and the image is streched.. the screen is full screen 60hz ntsc mode.. y or x fixes will not help since they only move the screen up/down left/right... this leaves only limited options... 1. dont use code 2.wait till the ntsc game gotes out or 3.use the y-fix to move the screen to bottom to see the health bar..
