    i have been trying to download yahoo mesenger when i try to download it says Your current security settings prohbits running active X controls on this page when i hit ok i have to download it manualing and after i install it nothing happens...help!!

    click tools - internet options, click the security tab, what security level are you at?

    Lower it down and try to download again

    Does the WAP have a firewall? Ports that need to be forwarded? ICF?

    In your internet settings you cna ascertain whether or not a firewall is present and activated.

    Must be a firewall on the network, all that can explain it!

    i'am apart of a wireless network and the main computer is able to download it but i can't.

    Dont think ull be able to turn off the firewall if its there!

    Has to be the wireless network, cant think of what else it could be!

    Log into the router and check for DMZ Host (Under Advanced Settings)..... if that option is even available, set yourself as the DMZ host and then download the Yahoo Messenger
