I was reading that with linux installed on my ps3 I could rip my games to my hd. If this is true, and I am able to play these games from my hd isn't this the way to play backups on the ps3 ??

Week after week after week, the same old boring question.
NO,PS3 GAMES WHICH HAVE BEEN BACKED UP CANNOT BE PLAYED.

There is even a thread stickied on this forum which says this.

I really have not meant to be rude in anyway but it just keeps happening over and over again.

On the plus side yes games CAN be backed up but there is not much point of this at the moment because of what i explained at the top.
